Terms of Service

Last updated: September 3, 2026

Welcome to NovelPlayer. NovelPlayer is provided by its operator (referred to as ‘we’). By accessing or using the service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service is mainly used to process the text, assets, or configuration you provide into multi-character, playable story scenes, and may integrate third-party AI services, caching services, storage services, and related infrastructure.

1. Service scope

NovelPlayer provides text processing, character recognition, scene orchestration, generated-result caching, third-party AI routing, preview playback, and related auxiliary features.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and may also impose usage limits, queues, caching policies, or rate limits on certain features.

2. Eligibility, account, and security

You must be legally eligible to use the service. If you are below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the service only with a parent or guardian’s consent and supervision.

  • You must keep your registration information truthful, accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • You should keep your account, tokens, keys, and access credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use or security incident.

3. Your content and license

The text, images, audio, files, prompts, settings, feedback, and other materials you submit to the service are collectively referred to as ‘User Content’. You retain ownership of your User Content, but you are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights, licenses, and authorizations needed to submit, process, and use it.

To provide the service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license limited to what is necessary to provide and improve the service, including hosting, caching, copying, transforming, analyzing, transmitting, and displaying your User Content and the processing results derived from it.

If your content includes other people’s personal information, third-party works, brands, voices, likenesses, or protected materials, you must first obtain the necessary legal authorization.

4. Third-party AI services and caching

Based on availability, performance, stability, and compliance requirements, the service may route requests to integrated third-party AI service providers, speech services, image services, storage services, or other infrastructure providers. You understand and agree that those third-party services may process related data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Integrated third-party AI services may include, but are not limited to, OpenAI, Google Gemini, and DeepSeek (subject to change based on the actual integration). We recommend reviewing the relevant third-party privacy policies and terms of service before or during use.

To improve response speed, reduce duplicate computation, support session continuity, and reduce service fluctuations, we may cache inputs, outputs, intermediate results, and processing metadata for a limited period. You should not assume that any content is immediately deleted from systems, backups, or logs.

If a feature is provided by a third-party service you enabled separately, you must also comply with that service’s usage conditions, content policies, and regional compliance requirements.

5. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

The acceptable use rules below form part of these Terms. You agree to use the service only for lawful, authorized purposes and must not:

  • Infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, reputation, or other legal rights.
  • Generate, distribute, request, or help create illegal, fraudulent, sexually explicit, suggestive, exploitative, harassing, discriminatory, violent, hateful, obscene, or otherwise prohibited content.
  • Use another person’s voice, identity information, likeness, brand, or other identifying traits without authorization to impersonate, mislead, make false representations, or imitate or clone that person’s voice.
  • Use the service for face-swap, deepfake, face-manipulation, or other deceptive impersonation workflows involving real persons.
  • Upload, route, process, or monetize third-party text, images, audio, voices, characters, or other materials without the rights, licenses, or permissions needed for that use.
  • Bypass restrictions, abuse APIs, scrape in bulk, reverse engineer, decompile, attempt to discover source code, upload malicious code, or damage system security.
  • Sell, transfer, sublicense, or share your access without authorization, or use the service to carry out illegal, fraudulent, or regulatory-evasive activity.

If you violate these Terms, applicable law, third-party service terms, or our reasonable rules for safety, risk control, and compliance, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to the service.

6. Complaints, evidence, and remedies

We accept complaints and appeals related to account use, subscriptions, project-page materials, template use, in-service generation records, and other verifiable platform materials. You can contact us at abuse@novelplayer.com .

If, based on complaint materials, platform records, risk-control judgment, or other reasonable evidence, we believe an account is involved in impersonation, fraud, infringement, abuse, or other high-risk behavior, we reserve the right to limit features, suspend service, terminate subscriptions, stop updates, close accounts, or take other necessary measures.

7. Output results and risk notice

AI-generated results are probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific use case. You should review outputs yourself before publishing, relying on, or using them externally.

Unless we expressly promise otherwise in writing, the service and its outputs are provided on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis. You bear the risk for any consequences arising from your use of the outputs.

8. Fees, payment, and refunds

If some features of the service require payment, prepayment, subscriptions, or usage-based billing, we will show the applicable prices, billing rules, and terms before purchase.

Third-party payment processors may handle your payment information under their own terms. Unless required by law or otherwise stated by us in writing, charges already incurred or credits already purchased are generally non-refundable.

9. Points, quotas, and validity

Analyze points and Credit points (together, ‘points’) may be used only to pay for the corresponding AI analysis and image-generation features. Points have no monetary value, are not a form of currency, and cannot be transferred, gifted, exchanged, redeemed, or converted to cash, except where required by applicable law.

Points are deducted automatically and immediately based on actual usage. Once consumed, points are not refunded or refundable. Because each request is billed on actual usage, the number of points deducted may vary from request to request depending on the length and complexity of the content.

A subscription’s monthly quota resets with each billing cycle and does not carry over; unused quota expires at the end of that cycle. Purchased top-up packs (additional points) remain valid for the period stated on the pricing page or in your order at purchase (for example, 3 months from the purchase date); any unused points expire automatically at the end of that period.

The deduction rules and validity periods shown on the pricing page or in your order shall prevail. We may adjust points, prices, or validity rules from time to time and will notify you in advance where reasonably practicable.

10. Intellectual property

The service’s software, interface, brand, documentation, page designs, and related materials we own are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, nothing in these Terms transfers any rights or licenses to you.

You must not copy, distribute, adapt, publicly display, or create derivative works based on the service without authorization.

11. Privacy

Please see our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information. By using the service, you agree to the practices described in that policy.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties regarding the service’s continuity, error-free operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or losses caused by third-party service failures, network failures, cache failures, model errors, delays, or data loss, unless mandatory law says otherwise.

13. Termination and changes

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time to the extent reasonably necessary for legal requirements, security needs, risk-control judgments, or violations of these Terms.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you through website announcements, in-app notices, or email. Continued use of the service after the change means you accept the revised Terms.
